In a few short hours, we’ll be gathered around our friends and families sharing our “New Year’s Resolutions.” Maybe 72%* of you will choose some combination of weight loss/healthy eating/going to the gym. A few of you will make the vow to drink less, smoke less, or otherwise be more serious about your vices. And at least one of you will selflessly give up your own personal resolution to hope for world peace or an end to world hunger.
By the end of the week, 56% of you will be helplessly admitting that you already broke your resolution – you didn’t make it to the gym, you stopped by McDonald’s, or you smoked a cigarette. Another 43% of you will walk along whistling as if you were still on track with your resolutions… doo di doo di doo…
That other 1%? You’ll be hungover tomorrow morning and won’t even remember your resolution. Or that you told Sally that you love her, like 5 times. Or that you thought it’d be really fun to go sledding… without a sled.
Once you get over New Year’s Resolution fever, you might want to check out www.StickK.com, a revolutionary approach to keeping on track with your goals this year. Like the 72% above, I’ll be using this to get back in shape!
Happy New Year to you & yours!
*All percentages are completely unscientific and were chosen out of the thin Starbucks-infused air.
